Sunset Cliffs Engagement, Jen & Eric

Jen is a nurse and Eric is a Navy pilot so we started our shoot at the “Unconditional Surrender” statue across from the USS Midway museum.

Then we headed over to sunset cliffs for a nice hike along the rocks.

They could not stop smiling the entire time..must have been the nice weather.

Initially, Eric was going to wear his Navy uniform for the statue shot, of course Jen would have to wear a vintage nurse’s uniform.

Congratulations on your upcoming Boston wedding!

Marnée & Richard’s engagement | Balboa Park

Marnée & Richard love old Hollywood movies. Vintage hollywood movie posters was the inspiration for this shoot with some carnival fun thrown in.
Dress/Costume design by Marnée (that’s her day job!)

Super fun shooting these two! Never know what they will do next!

Portrait of an artist | Red Mint Design

That fancy logo branded on all of my images and business card design is the work of Nicole of Red Mint Design. That was five years ago, and the collateral materials she helped design for my company are still working out great!

Last week, we did a quick  headshot session for her new website and managed to get a few different looks in 20 minutes. Nicole enjoys being photographed about as much as I do, but she still had fun.

Marriage Proposal | Amanda & Jacin | San Diego

Jacin contacted me last week about doing covert coverage of his proposal to Amanda at the beach. We decided on Wind n Sea beach. Jacin was able to identify the exact coordinates with photos using google maps. Jacin told Amanda they were going to do a photo shoot so she would be ready to be photographed but had no clue on the proposal. With a phone call letting him know I was ready ( he told Amanda “the photographer is a running late and will be here in 5 minutes”) Jacin then made his move.
